BE SURE TO READ ENTIRE CLASS DESCRIPTION
Beginner Novice is a 6 week "intensive" private lesson course teaching to the measurable standard set forth by the AKC. Private sessions will be held once week with Mark as your instructor and sessions will last one hour.
During this course please expect to dedicate 30-45 minutes a day 6 days a week for 6 weeks to your homework. In this course we will teach basic, foundational skills all dogs should have.
All dogs need to be 4 months or older at the start of this scheduled class unless approved by the instructor. All breeds are accepted. If your dog is under 15 pounds contact us as there may be better course options. Older dogs are accepted into class but if your dog is in its senior years contact us for possible better training options.
At the conclusion all students will be tested on the last scheduled private session. We train to and test to the measurable standard of the American Kennel Club's Beginner Novice test. As a bonus to the Beginner Novice routine we will teach a “place” command.
Cost will be $800 and will include all necessary equipment.
(Pet cot for place work is "optional" equipment that can be purchased through us or elsewhere)
This course will include practical instruction both in person as well as online in a closed Facebook group for Beginner Novice students only. All "required" homework will be submitted by video to this closed group for critique by the trainer. There will be a “readiness test” that must be videoed and submitted each week before the next class. While many may not like using Facebook it is the only suitable platform for us to use.
IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY CONCERNS - PLEASE CONTACT us before enrolling to make sure this class is the right choice for you. There will be “no refunds” for those that realize after class starts that it is too physically demanding for them. Contact us if concerned.
There will be no photos or videos permitted during class instruction. With the online content provided with this class it is completely unnecessary.
